If you have an Instagram you most likely have seen this colorful wall before, am I right?!My recent girls trip to Miami consists of planning places to take lots of photos! When I found out this Instagram famous wall was near, we had to go! It’s not often that I get to go somewhere with just girls that love to dress up, get silly and take a million photos. We love to make everything into a photoshoot!Let’s just say we went and it DID NOT disappoint! It was so freaking fun we walked the district TWO DAYS in a row! You basically have to!
I highly recommend going in the evening and during the day. The lighting at night gives it a whole new perspective and its not so HOT.
Now you ask, why is this area so colorful? Thanks to Tony Goldman, his idea was to bring Wynwood’s warehouse district more foot traffic by turning windowless warehouse walls into giant pieces of art! I must say it has succeeded and continues to do so!
Since 2009, over 50 artists from all over the world have helped cover over 80,000 square feet of walls!
These walls have become a “must see” international destination!
Check out below to get a tiny taste of what the Wynwood District has to offer! The first set of photos are all murals we found walking the district. Scroll near the end to see the, “Wynwood Walls, New Featured Art Collection” aka the insta-famous ones.
Panda… panda… panda…
This place gives me, “tattoo fever,” so much inspiration!
Here are a few murals shot at night from our phones.
Don’t forget to look down, there are awesome quotes all over the city.
This concept was part of a cautionary series about the dark side of power called Power & Glory and I kinda loved it!Everywhere you turned, there was color!
Now, for the newest featured work! You can enjoy food and drinks on the turf.
That my friends, is the end of the show! I hope this will inspire/help with your trip planning when visiting Miami. Stay tuned for more posts on what else we did while in Miami!
